EPIC brought Ramadan joy to 40 underprivileged and orphan students from SK Gong Kapas and SK Padang Hiliran through its Jalinan Kasih Ramadan 2023 programme. The programme is one of the Group's CSR initiatives under its "EPIC Cakna Prihatin" pillar which aimed at supporting the disadvantaged communities in celebrating the holy month and welcoming Syawal.

The students were first taken on a shopping trip at the Pacific Departmental Store, KTCC Mall, where they got to pick their own Raya outfits and shoes. Joining them were ADUN Bandar YB Ustaz Haji Ahmad Shah Muhamed, EPIC Group Chief Executive Officer Encik Ridzuan Ali, Group Chief Operating Officer Ts. Haji Muhtar Suhaili, and Group Chief Financial Officer Encik Wan Mohd Azilah Wan Abdullah alongside a group of volunteers consisting of the Group's employees.

Also present at the programme were Group Strategic Communication and Security General Manager Encik Rusdi Ngah, Group Human Resources and Administration General Manager Encik Mohd Sukeri Muhammad, Group Legal and Secretarial General Manager Puan Fairuz Idris, Kuala Terengganu PPD representative as well as SK Gong Kapas and SK Padang Hiliran Principals.

After the shopping spree, the students were ushered to the Paya Bunga Hotel, Kuala Terengganu, for an Iftar. As they enjoyed the tasty "buka puasa" spread, YB Ustaz Haji Ahmad Shah, Encik Ridzuan, Ts. Haji Muhtar, and Encik Wan Mohd Azilah personally handed out "duit raya" to each student, making the Ramadan event even more memorable for them.

We are indeed thankful to be hosting this event. It serves as a reminder to practice compassion and highlights the importance of giving and sharing with the less fortunate.
