The 'International Golden Monsoon Ride 2023' (IGMR 2023) organised by EPIC Berhad has successfully being concluded at the Kemaman Supply Base, Teluk Kalong, Kemaman. This third edition of the cycling tournament successfully garnered participations from over 1,500 cycling enthusiasts, including 30 international riders from China, Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand.

The event received full support from Terengganu Incorporated Sdn Bhd, Ladang Rakyat Trengganu Sdn Bhd, Golden Pharos Berhad, TDM Berhad, Syarikat Air Terengganu Sdn Bhd, Husa Network Sdn Bhd (Manis FM), and GPQ Sdn Bhd, alongside several other members the Terengganu Inc Group.

Further bolstering the cycling event were two primary sponsors, namely Platinum Sponsor Eastern Steel Sdn Bhd and Gold Sponsor PTT Synergy Group Berhad, alongside other additional sponsors. Technical expertise and support were contributed by two eminent state sports bodies, Terengganu Polygon Cycling Team and Majlis Sukan Negeri Terengganu.

A total of 12 MTB Challenge categories were contested, with participants facing challenging and action-packed routes against the backdrop of the monsoon season to vie for top positions and cash prizes totalling approximately RM31,000. The 48-kilometers On-Road Fun Ride Open led by TSG athletes also received favourable response from participants across all ages.

In his address at the conclusion of IGMR 2023, Terengganu Inc President and Executive Director Haji Burhanuddin Hilmi announced the subsidiary of the Terengganu Inc Group, namely TDM Berhad, will spearhead the organisation of the same event next year.

Terengganu Youth, Sports, and NGO Development Committee Chairman YB Haji Hishamuddin Abdul Karim, who was present at the Closing Ceremony of IGMR 2023, remarked that the success in managing the event is a recognition of the capabilities and expertise of the companies under the Terengganu Inc Group in handling large-scale sports events.

Dignitaries present at the event included Terengganu State Secretary Yang Berhormat Mulia Tengku Seri Bijaya Raja; Terengganu State Financial Officer Yang Berhormat Dato’ Nara Setia; State Tourism, Culture, Environment and Climate Change Committee Chairman and Kijal ADUN YB Datuk Razali bin Idris; State Infrastructure, Utilities and Rural Development Committee Chairman and Chukai ADUN YB Haji Hanafiah bin Mat; Terengganu Chief Police YDH DCP Datuk Mazli bin Mazlan; Kemaman District Officer Encik Ahmad Farhan bin Abdul Wahab; EPIC Group Chief Executive Officer Encik Ridzuan bin Ali, Eastern Steel Sdn Bhd Chief Operating Officer Tee Choon Hock, and Malaysia National Cycling Federation Acting President Encik Mazlan bin Md Jail.

In addition to cash prizes, lucky participants also took home various attractive lucky draw prizes worth more than RM145,000, with the 'Perodua Myvi 1.3 Auto' claiming the spotlight as the grand prize of the draw.
