The Sultan of Terengganu, His Royal Highness Al-Wathiqu Billah Al-Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin yesterday consented the handover of Terengganu Inc Group’s business zakat through a ceremony at Istana Syarqiyyah, Chendering.

The business zakat, amounting to RM7,876,038.29, was presented by Terengganu Incorporated Sdn Bhd President and Chief Executive Officer Haji Burhanuddin Himi Mohamed @ Harun, witnessed by MAIDAM Yang Dipertua YB Dato' Haji Shaikh Harun Shaikh Ismail.

Also in attendance were Terengganu State Secretary YBM Tengku Seri Bijaya Raja, Terengganu State Mufti Sahibus Samahah Prof. Madya Dato' Dr. Haji Mohamad Sabri Haron, and MAIDAM Chief Executive Officer Prof. Madya Dr. Ahmad Azrin Adnan.

Representing their respective companies were EPIC Group Chief Executive Officer Encik Ridzuan Ali, Ladang Rakyat Trengganu Sdn Bhd Chief Executive YM Che Ku Hafeez Che Ku Denang, and Syarikat Air Terengganu Sdn Bhd Chief Executive Officer Ts. Haji Abdul Karim Endut.

We sincerely hope that this zakat contribution will aid the Terengganu Islamic Affairs and Malay Customs Council (MAIDAM) in carrying out various welfare activities to aid the asnaf group here in Terengganu.
