HSSEQ Week 2025: EPIC Berhad Strengthens Workplace Safety Culture

EPIC Berhad yesterday continued the HSSEQ Week 2025 programme with the Mega Toolbox session, aimed at enhancing employees’ understanding and compliance with safety practices while reinforcing a strong culture of safe working environments. The event saw active participation from senior management and employees across the EPIC Group. In his address, Group Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ts. Haji Muhtar Suhaili emphasised the importance of collaboration and strict adherence to safety protocols by all parties to ensure workplace safety and well-being are consistently maintained.

Following this, the Kemaman Emergency Mutual Aid Association (KEMA), in collaboration with government emergency response agencies, hosted the large-scale EX-KEMA ISPS Exercise 2025 at the West Wharf Terminal, Kemaman Port. The exercise focused on enhancing preparedness, strengthening inter-agency coordination, and testing the effectiveness of communication systems between private organisations and government agencies in managing emergency situations more efficiently.

This annual initiative involved the participation of Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia, Chief Government Security Office (CGSO), Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH), and Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA). Additional support was provided by Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM), Marine Police Force (PPM), Immigration Department of Malaysia, Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD), Department of Environment (DOE), Malaysia Marine Department (JLM), Kemaman District Health Office, and Atomic Energy Licensing Board (ATOM Malaysia).
