Eastern Pacific Marine Services Sdn Bhd (EPMS), a subsidiary of EPIC Berhad; SINOPEC Heavy Lifting and Transportation Co., Ltd. (SINOPEC SLT); and Innoprise Corporation Sdn Bhd (ICSB), the investment arm of Yayasan Sabah Group, have entered into a strategic collaboration to jointly pursue and undertake upstream and downstream oil and gas opportunities in Malaysia, with particular focus on Sabah Waters.

The tripartite partnership was formalised through a collaborative agreement signing ceremony held at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC), graced by Yayasan Sabah Director, YB Dato’ Sri Haji Gulamhaidar @ Yusof bin Khan Bahadar; Terengganu Incorporated Sdn Bhd (Terengganu Inc) President and Group Chief Executive Officer, YBhg. Dato’ Haji Burhanuddin Hilmi bin Mohamed @ Harun; and SINOPEC SLT Vice President, Mr. Guo Zhong.

This collaboration seeks to leverage the collective technical expertise, operational capabilities, and regional insights of all parties to deliver impactful, value-driven solutions while advancing mutual growth ambitions within the sector.

Signing on behalf of their respective organisations were EPIC Berhad Group Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Ts. Haji Muhtar Suhaili; SINOPEC SLT (Thailand) General Manager, Mr. Liu Han; and ICSB Executive Chairman, YB Datuk Jasnih bin Daya.

Beyond forthcoming opportunities, this collaboration lays the groundwork for a long-term partnership focused on knowledge transfer, local content development, and innovation in marine engineering, commissioning and decommissioning services within Malaysia’s offshore energy sector. These efforts will not only generate lasting value for all stakeholders but also contribute to the broader socio[1]economic development of the region.
