EPIC OG Sdn Bhd (EOGSB), a subsidiary of EPIC Berhad, has joined forces with Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) to explore strategic collaborations related to the 2u2i Programme. This forward-thinking partnership, combining academic excellence with industry expertise, was officially marked by the exchanging of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Industry & Career Expo (ICE) 2024, held at Dewan Sultan Mizan, UMT.

The 2u2i programme, introduced by the Ministry of Higher Education, is a work-based learning initiative designed to give students valuable industry exposure. It offers students the best of both worlds—two years of academic study paired with two years of hands-on industry immersion, equipping them with both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience to face the in the competitive job market.

Representing EOGSB was EPIC Berhad Group Chief Executive Officer Ts. Haji Muhtar Suhaili, who also received his official appointment as UMT's Industry Advisor, effective October 1st. UMT, on the other hand, was represented by Vice-Chancellor Professor Ts. Dr. Mohd Zamri Ibrahim. The MoU exchange was witnessed by UMT Board of Directors Chairman Professor Dr. Mohamad Salmi Mohd Sohod and Industry, Community, and Strategy Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Fauziah Abu Hasan. Also present were Energy General Manager Haji Mohamad Irwan Abdul and Corporate Communication and HSSEQ General Manager Encik Rusdi Ngah.
