Eastern Pacific Marine Services Sdn Bhd (EPIC Marine), a subsidiary of EPIC Berhad, and Altus Oil & Gas Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Altus) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand their collaborative network in promoting Kemaman Port as the port of call for rigs. The signing ceremony took place last week at EPIC Berhad’s operational premises in Teluk Kalong, Kemaman.

The MoU was inked to establish a strategic collaboration between EPIC Marine and Altus, with the goal of exploring business opportunities in the rig segment. This includes rig lay-up services, rig maintenance and repair, preparation for future projects, as well as other related services.

During the signing ceremony, EPIC Marine was represented by Port Management and Marine Services Senior General Manager Haji Ashari Mohammad and EPIC Marine Head of Company Captain Mohd Kamarul Mamat. Representing Altus on the other hand were Altus Group Managing Director Encik Mohamad Taufik Othman and Chief Operating Officer Encik Mohd Nazli Mohd Salim.

The pact inking ceremony was witnessed EPIC Group Chief Executive Officer Ts. Haji Muhtar Suhaili, EPIC Group Chief Financial Officer Encik Wan Mohd Azilah Wan Abdullah, Supply and Support Base Senior General Manager Tuan Haji Syed Abdullah Syed Omar, and Altus Operations General Manager Haji Izudin Ab Ghani.

Through this MoU, EPIC Marine, along with other companies under EPIC Group, aims to continue enhancing its offerings and services while contributing positively to the socioeconomic development of Terengganu.
