EPIC Berhad once again demonstrated its steadfast commitment to Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) excellence, securing four prestigious recognitions at the 43rd MSOSH Occupational Safety and Health Awards, held at Putrajaya International Convention Centre.

The annual ceremony, organised by the Malaysian Society for Occupational Safety and Health (MSOSH), was officiated by Health Minister, YB Datuk Seri Haji Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad, and brought together leading organisations and professionals that have demonstrated outstanding commitment to cultivating a strong safety and health culture in the workplace. Since its inception in 1982, the MSOSH Awards has been regarded as one of Malaysia’s benchmarks in recognising organisations that consistently uphold the highest standards in OSH management and implementation.

At this year’s ceremony, Pangkalan Bekalan Kemaman Sdn Bhd (“PBKSB”), a subsidiary of EPIC Berhad providing oil and gas supply and support base services, achieved its first “MSOSH Gold Merit” after recording Excellent OSH Performance Scores in the 85 to 89.99 percent range. The achievement marks another milestone for PBKSB, which had previously sustained the “MSOSH Gold (Class I)” recognition for five consecutive years.

Meanwhile, two other subsidiaries of EPIC Berhad, namely EPIC OG Sdn Bhd (EOGSB), which provides engineering and maintenance services for the oil and gas sector, and Konsortium Pelabuhan Kemaman Sdn Bhd (KPKSB), the operator of the Kemaman Port, also recorded commendable progress, each receiving the “MSOSH Gold (Class I)” after attaining the “MSOSH Gold (Class II)” last year.

Capping off the Group’s achievements, Dr. Ts. Haji Muhtar Suhaili, Group Chief Executive Officer of EPIC Berhad, was also named one of the recipients of the “MSOSH President’s Award”, a recognition of his continued leadership and commitment to embedding a culture of safety and health excellence within the organisation.
