EPIC Berhad yesterday paid a courtesy visit to the Majlis Agama Islam Dan Adat Melayu Terengganu (MAIDAM). The visit was led by Group Chief Executive Officer Ts. Haji Muhtar Suhaili along with Group Chief Financial Officer Encik Wan Mohd Azilah Wan Abdullah, General Manager of Corporate Communication, Safety, and Health Encik Rusdi Ngah; and Head of EPIC Solar Sdn Bhd (ESSB) Encik Azman Muda, were warmly received by President of MAIDAM YB. Dato' Haji Shaikh Harun Shaikh Ismail and Chief Executive Officer of MAIDAM YBhg. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Azrin Adnan.

The visit provided an opportunity for both parties to exchange views on the efficient and effective implementation and distribution of zakat and other resources to the asnaf group. Previously, the Terengganu Inc Group had handed over business zakat amounting to RM7.88 million for the year 2023, including RM2.1 million from EPIC Berhad. The company hopes that the zakat contribution will help develop the economy and subsequently assist in freeing the Muslim community from the lines of poverty, especially in Terengganu.
