EPIC Berhad has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ground Team Red Sdn Bhd (GTR), Malaysia’s aviation ground-handling services provider. Inked following the opening of Energy Asia at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, the MoU outlines a collaborative initiative to explore the supply and installation of solar panels at GTR’s Cargo Terminal and Ground Service Equipment Maintenance Centre Warehouse.

The partnership reflects both companies’ commitment to advancing Malaysia’s green energy agenda. Under the agreement, EPIC Berhad, through its subsidiaries Eastern Pacific Properties Sdn Bhd (EPPSB), will serve as the principal solutions provider for solar infrastructure, while GTR will evaluate the integration of solar energy systems to power its key operational facilities.

Signing on behalf of their respective organisations were Dr. Ts. Haji Muhtar Suhaili, Group Chief Executive Officer of EPIC Berhad, and Musdalifa Abdullah, Chief Executive Officer of GTR. Also in attendance were YBhg. Dato’ Haji Burhanuddin Hilmi Mohamed @ Harun, President and Group Chief Executive Officer of Terengganu Inc; Encik Rahizan Ahmad, General Manager of Strategic Relations & Advisory, Malaysian Petroleum Management; Bobban Phillip Jose, Chief Operating Officer of GTR; and Encik Wan Mohd Azilah Wan Abdullah, Group Chief Financial Officer of EPIC Berhad.

By leveraging their respective strengths, both organisations are advancing a shared vision to embed sustainability within aviation logistics and industrial operations. This partnership, in turn, reinforces EPIC Berhad’s commitment to Malaysia’s national renewable energy agenda, while supporting GTR’s efforts to achieve more energy efficient and low-carbon ground operations.
