EPIC Berhad, together with its subsidiaries, yesterday went for a working visit to the Centre for Offshore Renewable Energy (CEFORE) in Tok Jembal, Kuala Terengganu. CEFORE is a research institute managed by Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), focusing on the development of offshore renewable energy and marine sustainability.

Leading the delegation was Group Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Ts. Haji Muhtar Suhaili. The team was warmly received by CEFORE Director, Prof. Madya Dr. Mohd Asamudin A. Rahman, alongside Deputy Director, Prof. Madya Dr. Mohd Hairil Mohd and members of the management team.

Serving as a strategic engagement platform, the meeting enabled both parties to exchange insights and explore potential areas of collaboration, particularly in research and innovation that will help shape the future of the offshore industry. Conversations also centred on initiatives aligned with Malaysia’s energy transition agenda, reinforcing a shared commitment towards cleaner, more sustainable energy solutions.
