19 May 2026

EPIC Berhad, in collaboration with Kemaman Municipal Council (MPK), yesterday organised the “EPIC Go Green 3.0: Go Green, Go Active” programme at Bukit Pejajat, Teluk Kalong. The CSR initiative focused on strengthening environmental sustainability efforts through the greening of public recreational areas and the enhancement of community facilities.

As part of the programme, volunteers from EPIC Berhad and MPK planted 100 Ixora Sunkist saplings and 10 Tembusu (“Fagraea fragrans”) trees around Bukit Pejajat’s recreational area. This initiative aimed to enhance the greenery of the surroundings while creating a more pleasant and comfortable environment for visitors.

At the same time, repair works were carried out on damaged stairways, including structural improvements and repainting works, to ensure the public facilities remain safer, more organised, and comfortable for community use.

Yang Dipertua of Kemaman Municipal Council, Tuan Haji Zuwislan Awang, was present in the tree-planting session and assisted with the repair works. Also in attendance were Group Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Ts. Haji Muhtar Suhaili; Group Chief Operating Officer, Encik Wan Mohd Azilah Wan Abdullah; Acting Group Chief Financial Officer, Puan Suhana Kamaludin; Strategy, Business Development and Sustainability General Manager as well as Programme Director, Puan Mazlina Md Nor; members of EPIC Group’s management team; and representatives from MPK.
