In response to the growing number of online fraud cases affecting the public, the Legal and Secretarial Department of EPIC Berhad took a proactive step by organising the Legal Awareness Programme 2025 Series 2 – “Scammers’ Alert!” in collaboration with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and Kuala Terengganu Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM).

Group Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ts. Haji Muhtar Suhaili, kicked off the programme with an opening address, expressing his hope that the session would help employees better understand and prepare for increasingly sophisticated online scams.

Terengganu MCMC Assistant Director Puan Nasuha Nadia Ripin delivered an informative briefing on various cyber scam tactics used by syndicates across different platforms. This was followed by District Commercial Crime Investigation Division Head ASP Puan Noorshahiram Adam who shared real-life cybercrime cases handled by PDRM to highlight the true extent of such crimes.
