EPIC Berhad, in collaboration with Geng Plastik Ija (GPI), earlier this morning organised the first series of its CSR programme, “EPIC Jom Bersih 2026”, at the vicinity of Star Cruise Jetty Awana Kijal, as part of the Group’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
This annual initiative brought together over 150 participants, including volunteers from EPIC Berhad and GPI, as well as students from SK Bukit Anak Dara and Tahfiz Darul Fawwaz, to collaboratively carry out coastal clean-up activities. Beyond restoring the coastal landscape, the programme also served as a platform to foster awareness of environmental responsibility within the local community, particularly among the younger generation.
As a result of the collective effort, a total of 722 kilograms of waste was successfully collected, including plastic bottles that were sorted for recycling by GPI. Proceeds from the recycling initiative will be channelled back to the NGO to support the continuity of clean-up activities and strengthen efforts to raise awareness on the importance of environmental conservation.
Complementing the environmental effort, the programme also featured a drug awareness sharing session conducted by Kemaman District National Anti-Drugs Agency, reflecting the EPIC Berhad’s holistic approach to community well-being and social responsibility.
We wish to extend our sincere appreciation to all partners and volunteers whose dedication contributed to the success of the programme. Building on this momentum, the Group will continue its second series of “EPIC Jom Bersih 2026”, next week at Pantai Batu Buruk 2.
