EPIC Berhad in demonstrating its commitment to environmental sustainability today hosted the 'EPIC Green Day' programme as part of its 'EPIC Go Green 1.0 Campaign'. Led by the Strategy, Planning and ESG department, the event that took place at the Group's operational premises in Kemaman was officiated by Group Chief Executive Officer Ts. Haji Muhtar Suhaili.
In a significant re-greening effort, which became the highlight of the programme, 100 bougainvillea plants were bedded around the area – a continuation of last year’s tree replanting initiative at the East Wharf. This activity saw enthusiastic participation from both the management team and employees across the Group, signifying the shared responsibility in making an impact to the environment while fostering greater awareness.
EPIC Berhad aims to plant more trees in phases as one of its initiatives to create more green spaces around Kemaman Port, in the hope of bringing the Group closer to its mission of transforming the port into a green port.
