EPIC Berhad, through its subsidiary Konsortium Pelabuhan Kemaman Sdn Bhd (KPKSB), is currently undertaking the expansion of Pelabuhan Kemaman, including the construction of a spurline from the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) into the port area. The project aims to increase port capacity and reinforce Pelabuhan Kemaman’s role as a key logistics hub on the East Coast.
With the ECRL connecting directly to the port, cargo can be transported efficiently and linked to destinations along the rail, boosting trade and creating new economic opportunities. The Group also owns surrounding land that can be leveraged by businesses making full use of the ECRL services.
Port facilities are simultaneously being upgraded, including the acquisition of new cranes, expansion of open areas for lease, and ongoing land reclamation. With the addition of new cranes alongside two existing cranes, the port’s capacity is expected to grow gradually from 4 million metric tons (MT) per year to 12 million MT, and eventually reach 30 million MT per year by 2030.
These developments reflect EPIC Berhad’s commitment to delivering modern, high-capacity infrastructure, supporting long-term economic growth, and strengthening Pelabuhan Kemaman’s position as a leading logistics centre on the East Coast.
