As part of its efforts to raise awareness about the importance of food security, sustainability, and climate change issues in Southeast Asia and beyond, EPIC Berhad proudly supported the “Southeast Asia Conference on Food Security and Sustainability (SEACOFSS 2024)” organised by Yayasan Strategik Lestari (YSL) at Hotel Perdana Kota Bharu.

With the theme "Keterjaminan Makanan yang Mampan dengan Penyelesaian Pintar Iklim”, the event serves as a strategic platform, uniting leaders, researchers, and industry players to address critical issues, discuss pivotal initiatives, and tackle challenges in ensuring food security and environmental sustainability.

The conference was officiated by Kelantan Agriculture, Agro-based Industry, Biotechnology, Green Technology and Environment Committee Chairman YB Haji Tuan Mohd Saripudin Tuan Ismail, representing Kelantan Menteri Besar YAB Dato’ Panglima Perang Ustaz Dato’ Haji Mohd Nassuruddin Daud. Also present was Kubang Kerian Parliament Member and Cheka ADUN YB Dato’ Sri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, who delivered a keynote address titled “Cabaran Perubahan Iklim Terhadap Sekuriti Makanan Negara: Apakah Persediaan Kita?”.

Under the leadership of Group Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ts. Haji Muhtar Suhaili, EPIC Berhad leveraged this platform to showcase its diverse services, sustainable energy solutions, and green technology offerings. The Group also highlighted its existing collaborations, aimed at boosting the local food and agricultural industries.
