EPIC Berhad Hosts Third “EPIC Back to School 2025” Series in Dun Jabi, Benefiting 100 Underprivileged Students
13 Feb 2025

EPIC Berhad hosted the third series of its "EPIC Back to School 2025" programme, benefitting 100 underprivileged students from DUN Jabi. The event took place at Zon Ria, Jerteh, and was graced by the presence of Jabi State Assembly Member (ADUN) YB Dr. Azman Ibrahim.

As part of efforts to support school preparations, each student received RM200 worth of vouchers, fully sponsored by EPIC Berhad, for the purchase of school supplies. Additionally, this initiative was extended through the support of the Pusat Khidmat Masyarakat DUN Jabi, which sponsored an additional 85 students from the same area, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to 185.

In his address, Group Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Ts. Haji Muhtar Suhaili, emphasised that the “EPIC Back to School” programme has become a hallmark of the company CSR efforts, aimed at assisting families in need while supporting the educational development of Terengganu. This year’s programme expanded its reach and impact, benefiting a total of 300 students across several constituencies, including four in Kuala Terengganu, Kijal, and Jabi. This marks a significant increase from the previous year, which reached only 100 students.

Meanwhile, YB Dr. Azman welcomed EPIC Berhad’s initiative and expressed his gratitude for the company’s continued commitment to supporting local communities, especially those in need. He highlighted that while such efforts may seem small to some, they are significant for those in need, as they not only ease parents' financial burdens but also inspire children to start the new school term with greater enthusiasm.

Also present at the event were Group Chief Financial Officer, Encik Wan Mohd Azilah Wan Abdullah; Corporate Communications and HSSEQ General Manager, Encik Rusdi Ngah; Human Resource and Administration General Manager, Haji Mohd Sukeri Mohammad; as well as representatives from the Pusat Khidmat Masyarakat DUN Jabi and company volunteers.
