Bekalan Kemaman Sdn Bhd or better known as KSB is a
comprehensive petroleum supply base dedicated to provide
support services to the oil and gas industry off Peninsular
Malaysia. |

Beginning
its operations in 1982, the company's main business
is the provision of warehouses, office space, open
yard storage, vessel berthing and cargo handling facilities
for the major oil companies, its contractors, suppliers
and other support service providers.
More
than 220 companies operate on KSB's 130-hectare site
providing essential services such as fabrication and
engineering works, manufacturing and essembly, wiring
and rigging, equipment testing and inspection, chandling
and supplies, etc. |

Today
KSB has emerged as an established regional supply
base operator. The management team at KSB is well
supported by its own pool of well-trained stevedore
and base operators to handle a variety of related
operations in the oil and gas industry.
In
October 1999, KSB was awarded the ISO 9002 accreditation
for quality system in the provision of logistics and
support services in the oil and gas exploration.

Being
commited to continuously improve the services provided
to our clients, KSB is now implementing enterprise
resource planning (ERP) solutions to enhance its operating
efficiency.
KSB
currently offers the following facilities to its users
and customers based on rental basis:

Berthing facilities
 Quay (360 meters with a depth of 8.0 meters
- can receive 5-6 vessels at any given time)
Twin Finger Jetty (additional berthing
facilities to lay-up 6 more supply vessels)

4. Common Warehouse
The Common Warehouse is a temporary storage to keep goods before delivery to the end user and it located in KSB bonded area.
It is an effort to fulfill the needs of various types of user in petroleum industry. |
The Common Warehouse provides the following services:-
Covered storage area with storage capacity 1400 m2
Mechanical handling equipment and lifting gears for loading and unloading onto/from truck to the receiving area.
Stacking of cargo of 1.6 tan or less.
Inventory management (weekly report).
Charges (subject to the terms & condition):-
i. Handling
RM 6 per ton per operation
ii. Daily Rental
RM 2 per ton per day.
RM 8 per ton per day (heavy cargo).
iii. Inventory Management
RM 10 per consignment per week. |
