EASTERN PACIFIC INDUSTRIAL CORPORATION BERHAD’s (EPIC) Chief Executive Officer, En Ramli Shahul Hameed, was named as the recipient of Enterprise Asia’s Most Promising Entrepreneurship Award 2009.

A stunning milestone for this small but relevant company nestled in the east coast state of Terengganu Darul Iman, Ramli is steering EPIC into a more visible, energetic, vigorous and vibrant entity. Servicing primarily the oil and gas industry, Ramli is not one to rest on his laurels and is driven to making EPIC raise above its comfort zone.

Having built its foundation as a key logistics service provider to the oil & gas industry in Malaysia, EPIC is expanding into related activities to broaden its earnings base in its quest to become an integrated oil & gas service provider. EPIC is a growth-oriented organization with its core businesses in oil & gas services, port management and ICT.

Listed on the Board of Bursa Securities, EPIC owns the Kemaman Supply Base (KSB), a leading petroleum supply base located within the Petroleum Development Zone in Kemaman, Terengganu and hosts 241 companies supporting the petroleum industry.

EPIC operates the East Wharf and the Liquid Chemical Berth of the Kemaman Port. The port is reputed to be one of the deepest ports in Malaysia. The port and the supply base form the Kemaman basin, which is the key gateway to the Eastern Corridor of Peninsular Malaysia.

EPIC has the added advantage of having the support of the Government of the State of Terengganu as its substantial shareholder through its investment arm, Terengganu Incorporated Sdn Bhd. As a state government linked company, it complements the rich and abundant petroleum and gas resources in the State of Terengganu.
