The Port of Kemaman is logical choice of shippers in the Eastern Corridor area. It is the Port which other regional ports within the Asia Pacific Rim would like to be associated with. In addition, the Port is positioning itself as a regional centre for transshipment activities as well as cargo consolidation and distribution activities.
Being a specialized Industrial Port established in September 1993, the port is also located right in the heart of the oil and gas related industrial zone in the East Coast Region and is poised to benefit from the rapid growth of the petrochemical industries in and around Kertih.

Konsortium Pelabuhan Kemaman Sdn Bhd operates the terminals of the port of Kemaman namely, the East Wharf and the Liquid Chemical Berth (“LCB”) terminals.The East Wharf
The East Wharf, with a quay of 648 metres length and depth of 17 metres is one of the deepest seaports in Malaysia. As an all-weather port, it is capable of handling vessels up to 150,000 DWT and various types of cargo, dry bulk and liquid bulk. It is also a regional centre for transshipment activities as well as cargo consolidation and distribution activities.
Liquid Chemical Berth (LCB)
The LCB is a specialized terminal to handle liquid chemical cargo. Its facilities is fully operational to cater the needs of petrochemical industries. The berth is 289 metres long and is capable of accommodating vessels up to 150,000 DWT with a draught of 16.4 metres. It also has space available for 50 pipelines and 6 loading arms and is fully equipped with safety features.
INFRASTRUCTURE AND FACILITIES
With the provision of excellent industrial infrastructure facilities and services such as highway, electricity and water supply, telecommunications in the Kemaman growth area, the Port is expected to play a major role in the development of industrial activities in the State of Terengganu. In addition, the availability of cheap industrial land, lower quit rent and assessment rates will certainly ensure the success of any business venture requiring the services offered by Kemaman Port.
