In the oil and gas industry, EPIC is principally involved in the provision of services and facilities to the oil and gas industry, tubular threading and maintenance services and the sludge management services.
EPIC owns the Kemaman Supply Base (KSB), a leading petroleum supply base located within the Petroleum Development Zone in Kemaman, Terengganu. KSB hosts 288 services companies supporting the petroleum industry with services such as fabrication, engineering works, manufacturing and assembly, wire line and rigging, equipment testing and inspection, handling and supplies; among others.
In port services, following the privatization agreement entered into with the Government of Malaysia represented by the Ministry of Transport and the Kemaman Port Authority in 2006, EPIC operates the East Wharf and the Liquid Chemical Berth of the Kemaman Port. The port is reputed to be one of the deepest port in Malaysia.
The port and the supply base form the Kemaman basin, which is the key gateway to the Eastern Corridor of Peninsular Malaysia.
As for other services, EPIC has ventured into the information and communication technology industry. Efforts are underway to explore new markets and business opportunities outside the comfortable sphere of companies within the EPIC Group |
