Resignations and Retirement

In August this year, we bid farewell to our Independent Non-Executive Director, Y. Bhg. Dato’ Seri Abdul Rahman bin Nasir who have reached the compulsory retirement age of 70.

We also bade farewell to Encik Ahmad Ruslan bin Dato’ Dr. Zakaria who has also resigned as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director in EPIC’s Board of Directors. He did not extend his contract with Terengganu Inc Sdn Bhd as the Chief Executive Officer. The resignation is effective on 1 October 2007.

With the completion of the sale of EPIC’s shares from Lembaga Tabung Haji to Ahmad Zaki Resources Berhad, EPIC also saw the departure of both Puan Rozaida Binti Omar and Tuan Syed Saleh bin Syed Abdul Rahman, representatives of Lembaga Tabung Haji as the Non-Independent Non-Executive Directors in EPIC’s Board.

Saddened by these departures, EPIC wishes them the very best in all their future endeavours. Their immense contribution and wisdom will be greatly missed.

New Directors

We warmly welcome the representatives of Ahmad Zaki Resources Berhad (“AZRB”) into EPIC. With effect from 20 November 2007, Y. Bhg. Dato’ Wan Zakariah bin Haji Wan Muda and Y. Bhg. Dato’ Haji Mustaffa bin Mohamad will be Non-Independent Non-Executive Directors in EPIC’s Board.

We also warmly welcome Y. Bhg. Dato’ Dr. Khalid bin Ngah and Puan Mariam @ Rahimah Binti Mukhtar as the Non-Independent Non-Executive Director and Independent Non-Executive Director respectively.
