With effect from 20 November 2007, EPIC Berhad’s Board of Directors has approved the appointment of Tuan Haji Omar Suhaimi bin Abu Hassan as EPIC’s Chief Executive Officer. At present Tuan Haji Omar is the Group’s General Manager at the Business Development Division.

Tuan Haji Omar brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge from his days in MISC and PETRONAS. He was the first Country Manager representing PETRONAS in Sudan from 1998 to 2000 and a Country Representative for MISC in 2004 and 2005.

In a career spanning nearly 24 years in both PETRONAS and MISC, he has assumed various senior positions among others being Senior Manager Procurement Management for PETRONAS Carigali; General Manager Sudan Operations for PETRONAS Carigali Overseas; Head of Warehousing & Distribution, MISC Integrated Logistics; Head of Oil & Gas Business, MISC Integrated Logistics; General Manager, Business Support, MISC Integrated Logistics and General Manager Corporate Planning & Development Division, MISC before leaving to join EPIC in 2006 as the General Manager, Oil and Gas Division.

With this appointment Tuan Haji Omar has been given the task to chronicle EPIC’s continued growth for the benefit of the Group and the socio-economic benefit of the people and state of Terengganu.
